If you know me at all, you know that Summer is my favorite season.I love the warm weather, the pool days, the fun fashion and most of all, the fact that everyone is always out and about on a hot day.
But here’s the one problem with the season: It’s undeniably the time of year we care most about looking toned and healthy….but we’re surrounded by tacos, margaritas, burgers, ice cream, hot dogs and other not-so-slimming things all the time. With all the summer festivals and outdoor concerts, it can be really easy to overindulge.
That’s why I was so happy when Humana reached out to me about their appearance at Taste of Chicago. Humana will be serving healthy options at the Taste, so if you’ll be in attendance, be sure to stop by! The food options come from major Chicago restaurants and sound delicious, too – no boring dry kale salads here.
Some of my favorite offerings include:
-Grilled Chicken Satay with Peanut Sauce and Cucumber Salad
-Chicken Ke-Bob Curry Rice with Vegetables
- Black Bean and Cheese Arepa with Venezuelan Guacamole
They’re all under 500 calories, too, so go ahead and indulge!
