UPDATE: I made it to the quarterfinals! Thanks to anyone who voted for me – but it isn’t over yet. Right now I am losing my matchup and could really use your votes. I mean, those Bruno Magli booties definitely deserve some love, right? Vote here.
As you may know, RedEye does this thing called “The November of Dressing Nicely” every year. It’s a really cool concept – essentially the RedEye staff urges Chicagoans to step up their wardrobe games each November. Think about it: People often take cooler weather as an opportunity to break out the sweats, the Uggs and the fat pants (#SWIMSUITSEASONISOVER.)
RedEye’s mission is to show its readers that you can still look good without breaking the bank, even in cold weather. I happen to agree wholeheartedly with this, as evidenced by this piece I wrote for the Huffington Post.
They also use NoDN as a chance to find Chicago’s best dressed man and woman…and this year I’m in the running! As of right now, I’m in the number 2 spot. Help bump me to number 1 by voting here! Vote early, vote often and know you have my eternal gratitude if you click my picture when you get to the bracket. Also, make sure you vote for one person in each matchup. I’m not sure if your vote will go through otherwise.
And if you’re one of those people who dresses nicely every single day, whether or not it’s the November of Dressing Nicely (and I bet you are,) tag all your Instagram selfies with #NoDN.
Any questions about what I’m wearing? Shoot them to me in the comments and expect a full outfit post to come soon.
